I'm very impressed with LDK. Greig was not too tough, and we new little about the battle before we started but were able to adapt and victory was ours! I had a ton of fun doing this, and would love to keep killin him while we have the people available to do so. For this particular fight, we should not bring melee without substantial HP; i believe the aoe to be unresistable, and healing a bunch of low hp dps classes would certainly strain the clerics' mana, though the fight would go quicker so there are 2 ways to look at it...Basically we probably need 2 clerics for MA, and an additional healer for each dps... I dont know that we wouldve succeeded without crochette being able to relay to conred where to move, as he was blinded the whole time, would probably want a similar setup each time. Cure blind takes 2 casts to work...by than the aoe has struck again, so curing it is really futile.
Overall its an easy fight, tank in range for heal and healers out of line of sight. Since the tank cant see to make sure he is dpsing, DS on tank would be good idea (and Mark of R Greig). The AoE seemed to hit at exactly regular intervals, so, it was possible for me to hear it go off, and come out of hiding to cast line of sight spell, cast it, and hide again before the next..

Definately the most fun I've had on EQ in a while, not to mention good loot.

Thanks very much LDK, you all did a wonderful job.

Ya, I was kinda disapointed when I realized I couldn't just sit there and be a good DPS like I wanted to on Kaye, unless someone was dedicated to keeping me up. Blarg aoe..

But it's either we get alot more healing power to keep the DPS's up and kill Grieg quicker, or drop the dps and kill him slower. But considering we were missing some people, we rocked him! Next time I might be able to get Trict off his lazy butt to log on and help us, heal / mana song would have helped everyone out alot, not to mention his resist song..

I'm debating on who I want to bring for next time: Kaye, Jebi, or Muyah? It's up to you guys really.

I think it is important to take melee dps with us regardless of HPs because the hardest part is clearing the guards within an hour. If we have 2 dedicated CH healers for the main fight along with pets for dps and Conred tankin, we can beat him hands down. But remember we have to kill all 10 guards within an hour before we can target Grieg to pull so you monks and rogues are a very neccesary component.

Grieg is listed as a lvl 65 raid encounter on Alakhazam's, and I am looking at the other 60 65 Luclin encounters for ideas down the road. This seemed pretty easy for the quality of loot that dropped.

The Spiroc Lord in Plane of Sky is supposed to be level 65. He drops the Spiroc Wingblade for the last part of the Warriors Epic. However, Conred has not done the parts before this. Which is getting the Red and Green Dragon Scales. Also need to kill CT guards in Plane of Fear for Ball of Everliving Golem.
Gonna be awhile more, I guess.

Serevillious (sp)....very tough mob to find....For Green Dragon Scale, ill have Elate track for him.....However there is a quest to turn red dragon scale to green....Nortlav in the Hole drops red scale....He is, often, up...
We would need approximately same force as we might for the Real VS....good dps and chain Rune for tank.....
Mobs that proc large lifetaps are very tough to kill without rune, as lifetap reduces the rune HP but gives the mob no health....
I really think this may be the best way to get your scales Conred....just need to find a good day when folks arent busy and we get it done (I hope )...prolly take 3 hours or so...(mebbe possible one well rounded group with runing chanter), mebbe 2 clerics...definately good raid event while we dont have that many raiding...

Good Hunting LDK,
Ediena

ps ill get u a link to the quest that turns red scale to green, not too tough i think...

There's also a dragon in skyfire that can drop red dragon scales. The name escapes me right now, though. I believe it also has the same loot table as either naggy or ragefire. And doesn't Woushi drop green dragon scales too, or am I just crazy?

It would be pretty darn funny to get on our alts and kill Naggy or Vox though.

...For more Luclin mobs, there's some in Umbral Plains. We could probably take out the spirit of Tawro and Radir. There's also a giant zelniak named Zelnithak. (I got eated by him on Kaye recently) The only problem is the fact that they made it a hotzone, and the zone is no longer empty 24 / 7 like it used to be. That could make it tough to do named killing without them getting in the way.. or us getting in the way of them.

(EDIT:: Sorry, Wuoushi drops Emerald Dragon scales, not green. Just now looked it up. Bah! But the other dragon's name is Talendor in Skyfire.)
